In a shocking turn of events, Indian politician Baba Siddique was shot dead by three men in Mumbai's Bandra.
On Saturday (Oct 12) night, Siddique was stepping out of his son Zeeshan's office when he was shot. He was quickly taken to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Siddique was a renowned personality and was known for his close connections with Bollywood celebrities such as Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shah Rukh Khan among others. Soon after Siddique's death, several celebrities including actors Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shilpa Shetty visited the hospital late at night.

Shetty along with her husband Raj Kundra arrived at the Lilavati Hospital. In a video shared by the paparazzi, the actress was visibly emotional as she was leaving the hospital in Mumbai. In another clip, she was struggling to hold back her tears when she was returning after meeting Siddique's family.
Before Shilpa, actor Sanjay Dutt, who shared a deep bond with Siddique family, was spotted visiting the hospital. As per reports, Salman cancelled the shoot of his reality show Big Boss after he learned about the politician's death. He was also at the hospital last night.

Expressing shock at Siddique's death, actor Riteish Deshmukh wrote on X, ''Extremely saddened and shocked beyond words to learn about the tragic demise of Shri #BabaSiddique ji - My heart goes out to @zeeshan_iyc and the entire family- May god give them strength to brave this difficult time. The perpetrators of this horrific crime must be brought to justice.''
